I’m looking for a library that will transform text files in one format into text files in another format. Example formats are XLS, XML, JSON, TSV, CSV, and various forms of fixed field length files. I have a standard input format and a standard output format. Often, input files are in a different format and need to be transformed. Occasionally I’ll also need to transform the output file before it can be used. These seems like a fairly common use case, so I don’t want to reinvent the wheel if I can avoid it. Either this isn’t as common as I think it is, or my Google-fu is failing me on this one. Most of the results are either online converters or single source/target converters (only CSV to JSON). I could invoke would work too. Open source or free is preferable, but all options are welcome. P.S. I am aware that several ETL solutions do this sort of thing. I’m not looking for SSIS or Talend. I’m looking for a library or at least a command-line tool that I can invoke programmatically.

Most of the time, people do not give any forethought to where they store heavy items. A heavy canister goes in the first open spot, even if retrieving it will require all manner of contortions. Or maybe that bag of charcoal just gets plopped on the floor because it’s too heavy to carry any farther. Eventually, these items will have to be picked up again, and it would be a lot easier if they weren’t on the floor or in the back of the closet. Give some thought to where you store things. Place your heaviest items at waist height so you will not have to bend over when you return for them. Also, your most frequently used items should be placed at this level so that you don’t have to reach all the time. That leaves lighter and infrequently used objects in the lower and higher locations on the shelves. If you have enough storage space, you could even leave the bottom-most shelves empty and never have to bend down to get something from them.

Tool to convert from/in Roman numerals (I, V, X, L, C, D et M) allowing to write integer numbers and used in Antique Rome and make conversions. The 1985 Chevrolet Cavalier was introduced with a new optional engine and a few minor changes, following a highly successful year in 1984. The big engine news arrived late in the year in the form of a High-Output (H.O.) 2.8-liter V-6 similar to that found in the Citation X-11 and Celebrity. Here it made 125-horsepower, somewhat less than in Cavalier’s siblings. The H.O. V-6 had port fuel injection, replacing the carburetor used previously on this engine. Continuing as the base powerplant was the 2.0-liter 88-horsepower four with throttle-body injection, now rated at 88 horsepower. Standard with either engine was a four-speed manual transmission, but the five-speed manual was only available with the four-cylinder.
